Anupam Kher remembers Wajid Khan: He was very humble and always smiling


Anupam Kher paid his last respects to late music composer and singer Wajid Khan. He breathed his last today.

Music director, composer and singer Wajid Khan breathed his last today. He was 42 years old. A few days ago, Wajid was tested positive of the novel coronavirus. He had also undergone a kidney transplant a few months ago.

Many celebrities have taken to social media to pay their last respects.Calling the untimely death of the singer shocking, Anupam wrote on Twitter, “Deeply shocked & saddened by the untimely demise of greatly talented #WajidKhan of the #SajidWajid team. I had met him at few occasions. He was very humble, courteous and always smiling. May God give his family the courage to deal with this loss. Will pray to almighty.”

Abhishek Bachchan wrote, “Rest in harmony my friend. Had the pleasure of working with both Sajid-Wajid most loving and brilliant. My condolences to his family and especially Sajid. #RIPWajidKhan.”

Wajid was known for his popular jodi with brother Sajid, known as Sajid-Wajid. The duo made their debut as composers with Salman Khan’s 1998 film Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya. Thereafter, they composed music for many popular Salman Khan films, including Dabangg 2, Ek Tha Tiger, Dabangg, Veer and more.
