Mandira Bedi does Adho Mukha Svanasana during yoga session. See her new workout post

Mandira Bedi swears by yoga and shared a snippet from her fitness session in a post on Instagram on Friday. Comfortable in blue sports bra and tights, Mandira did yoga in her balcony.

The asana that Mandira practiced today was Adho Mukha Svanasana or the Downward Dog Pose. It isn’t recommended for beginners as it requires a certain amount of strength that only comes with regular practice.

In order to do the asana, you need to put your head down to touch the floor while the weight of your body will rest on your palms and feet. This pose is also a part of the Surya Namaskar and has several benefits.

It helps in building shoulder strength and prevents osteoporosis. It also strengthens the arms and legs apart from relieving stress.

“When the ankle is giving me a bit of niggle. It’s time to Dawg-up and let out a giggle,” Mandira said in the caption of her post.

Mandira is a fitness enthusiast and works out regularly at home. She also shares pictures from her exercise sessions on Instagram frequently.
